Vishal’s innovative idea to curb piracy

One of the biggest problems that seems to plague the film industry is piracy. Filmmakers have been at the receiving of piracy that results in loss of profits to the producers.

In a fresh and innovative approach to curb the menace, the Tamil Film Producers Council has come up with a strategy. The council has suggested filmmakers and producers to seek, collaborate with some leading online platforms which are ready to buy the rights for movies and release it.

Recently films like Jyothika’s ‘Magalir Mattum’ and Vishal’s ‘Thupparivalan’ were also released by a major online company which garnered good reception from the masses. Similar to theatre rights and television rights, Vishal also called for online rights that will help producers to increase their profits.
