Vishal’s ‘Irumbu Thirai’ is all set to hit the screens this Friday and the film is riding on high expectations from fans. Meanwhile a petition was filed against the movie in the Chennai High Court  by a Natarajan who wanted the movie to banned as it allegedly put the government’s Aadhaar scheme in a bad light.

The case came to a hearing today and the petitioner argued that ‘Irumbu Thirai’ has content that maligns the image of Digital India and Aadhaar schemes. It was also requested that a ban be imposed on the movie until such scenes are taken off.

However, the court stated that a movie which has passed the censors successfully cannot be banned. And the case has been discounted. So fans can be delighted and sure of the fact that ‘Irumbu Thirai’ will indeed hit the screens this Friday and entertain audiences.

Apart from Vishal in the lead role, the movie also has Arjun and Samantha in major roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music score for the film which is being directed by PS Mithran.
