Actors Vishal and Poochi Murugan have filed a caveat petition in the Madras High Court praying the court not to pass any orders in the appeal against a single judge`s verdict on Nadigar Sangam Election case that was given last week, without hearing their arguments. .
The election to key posts in the Nadigar Sangam was scheduled to be held on July 15 which falls on a Wednesday. The rebel group of actors lead by Vishal had filed a petition in the Madras High Court to stop the election, as conducting it on a weekday and the place it was supposed to be conducted were not convenient for all the members to come and vote. The HC bench headed by a single judge had issued a stay on the election date last week.
R.Sarathkumar the incumbent President of the Sangam had announced that he will appeal against the verdict staying the election. By filing a caveat Vishal has ensured that he and his side are heard by the court before passing any order that may affect the stay on the election.
