The Nadigar Sangam elections were held on June 23 in Chennai, after much confusions, stay order, stay removal and lots of drama, and the election saw the clash of the Pandavar Ani lead by Nasser and the Swamy Sankaradas team lead by director and actor K Bhagyaraj.

While the elections happened smooth although there were several confusions existed including actor Mohan's vote being cast by someone else, the result of the same was to be declared this month, and Vishal's team had requested the counting of votes and filed a plea.

However the court has rejected Vishal's demand, and judge Aadhikesavalu has instructed Vishal and team to submit the report in response to the question on postal votes. The next hearing on this case will be held on Friday, said the judge after turning down Vishal's request to count votes.
