Actor and Nadigar Sangam's new General Secretary Vishal's effigy was burned by the members of a fringe Tamil group in front of his house at Chennai today.

The protestors belonging to the group called 'Tamizhar Munnetra Padai' claimed that Vishal was against Tamils and he has been insulting people belonging to oppressed castes. They also condemned Vishal for causing instul to Superstar Rajinikanth's request on changing the name of South Indian Artists Association (Nadigar Sangam) as Tamil Nadu Artists Association (Tamil Nadu Nadigargal Sangam).
