A lot is being cooked about Vishal's recent trip to the Himalayas. While some say the actor is following the footsteps of Superstar Rajinikanth to seek peace at the holy place, others say it was a 'romantic tour'.

Now, Vishal himself has come out in the open, clearing the air on the reason behind his trip to the Himalayas. "It was neither a spiritual tour nor a romantic trip. I just wanted to take a break from my schedule and go to a remote place," he says.

"Because, I am just unable to go out wherever I like when I am in Chennai or some other place in south India. I wanted to be myself, where I can roam, shop and do whatever I like. So I left for the Himalayas," he further says.

"Also, I needed a break after shooting for Avan Ivan non-stop for more than a year. All these things made me to take a flight to the north," Vishal says adding: "I am now getting ready for the audio launch of Vedi."
