For the uninitiated, a few days ago, a whistleblower website claimed that actor-producer Vishal, who leads the Tamil Film Producers' Council, is a beneficiary of a shady deal with a production house.  What is the deal about?  The website said that the production house is the one that is behind some well-known sites streaming piracy movies.  In exchange for TFPC's silence, the website alleged, Vishal struck a deal with the house.

Following this, some members of Kollywood, mainly Bharathiraja and T Rajender, have since demanded that Vishal should own up responsibility.  The scam is pegged to have been valued at Rs. 7 crores.  There is no prima facie evidence to suggest that Vishal has committed any felony.

On Thursday, Vishal made it clear that those who make allegations should come up with proof.

The actor awaits the release of 'Abhimanyudu' in the last week of May.  The film is dubbed from Tamil.  It also stars Samantha and Arjun Sarja.
