Spearheading the world famous MeToo campaign in Tamil Nadu, Popular singer and voice artist Chinmayi has alleged that veteran lyricist Vairamuthu has misbehaved with her and tried to sexually harass. This has become the talk of the town even has Chinmayi has been exposing many other alleged sexual predators from the music fraternity through the accounts of women wishing to be anonymous.
Now the Vishal the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam has announced that a Three-member team will be formed to investigate the sexual harassment charges within the Tamil film industry. He gave this assurance speaking at the promotional event of his upcoming release 'Sandakozhi 2' in Chennai on Saturday.
Vishal clarified that action will be taken against Vairamuthu only if Chinmayi proves her charge against him. He also noted that the Sangam played an important role in the arrest of a stranger who sexually harassed actress Amala Paul.
