'Detective', starring Vishal in the lead role, hit the screens on Nov 10. Released in 434 theatres across the two Telugu States, the film, as per the makers, has made a phenomenal business.

Says Vishal, "I thank the audience for making our film a grand success. We in the creative industry always believe in giving the best content. But some films fail to impress the audience. When Mysskin came to me with the script of 'Detective', I believed that I should not only essay the lead man's role but also produce it. Detectives always stay in the background. The idea of our film is to show their modus operandi, etc. The characterization (of Advaith Bhushan) is a highlight of our film. With positive mouth talk, our film is doing very well. Hats off to the audience. The success has given us tremendous strength. We are now more confident than ever that innovative ideas should be turned into films."

He further says, "Although 'Detective' has not got a single song, the vacuity is not felt. We had to put in so much of efforts to shoot for the climax. The godown fight, the restaurant fight involving Vietnamese fighters and the climax fight have been received very well. This is a rare film which has been both critically acclaimed and has got audiences' approval."

Buoyed by the response, Vishal is determined to make 'Detective-2'. It will go on the floors next year.
