In what may be termed as a shocking turn of events actor Vishal has announced that the plans for making 'Sandakozhi 2' the much expected sequel to his 2005 blockbuster have been cancelled.

The actor took to twitter to make this disappointing announcement on the dropping of a project that has been in the cards for the past few years.

In an indirect attack on director Lingusamy who directed 'Sandakozhi' and was supposed to direct the sequel, Vishal said he is "sad to see certain filmmakers lacking commitment towards projects."

We will have to wait and watch how Lingusamy is going to react for this.

As of now Vishal is busy wrapping up 'Marudhu' directed by Muthiah of 'Komban' fame. He was expected to take up 'Sandakozhi 2' as his next but now it has been cancelled, which means he will have to decide on what will be his next film after 'Marudhu'.

Lingusamy on the other hand is expected to direct his first direct Telugu film with Allu Arjun in the lead and the official announcement on the same is expected soon.
