Actor Vishal started this year with the commercially successful thriller 'Kathakali', and now he has completed shooting for his next film 'Marudhu' directed by Muthiah of 'Komban' fame. He will soon start shooting for 'Thupparivalan' to be directed by Mysskin.

Now we learn from reliable sources that Vishal's next theatrical release will happen in April. VIshal had acted in 'Madha Gaja Raja' a film directed by Sundar.C. which was completed long back in 2013, but could not be released till now due to financial problems faced by its producer Gemini Film Circuit.

Sources say that all the issues are being sorted out and talks with distributors and exhibitors are going on to release the film either on April 8 or April 14,2016 for Tamil New Year festival.

This means there is a possibility of a head to head box office clash between Vishal and Ilayathalapathy Vijay whose 'Theri' directed by Atlee is getting ready to hit the screens on April 14 and the overseas box office business of the film has already started and going on in full swing.

Vishal is one actor who never hesitates to clash with big stars. His 'Pandiyanadu' released along with Ajith starrer 'Arrambam' and 'Poojai' released with Vijay starrer 'Kaththi' in 2013 and 2014 Deepavali festivals respectively.

So is he heading for another clash with Vijay in 2016? Well we will have to wait for the official announcement.
