Actor-producer Vishal's 'Thupparivaalan' directed by Mysskin released on Thursday (September 14) amid great expectations. The film has been getting positive reviews and good word of mouth and this has reflected in the collections too.

In its first two days 'Thupparivaalan' has collected Rs.5.2 crores from Tamil Nadu. On the release day it has been Rs.2.34 crores and on Friday it has been Rs.2.8 crores. This includes Chennai share of Rs.71 lakhs (37 & 34 lakhs), Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari has contributed Rs.23 lakhs (8 and 15)  while Salem theatricals has received Rs.24 lakhs (10 & 14) on the first two days. 

The next two days which are weekend holidays are expected to be better than this and the film is expected to take a very good opening in its first four day weekend. The details of collections made by the film on Saturday and Sunday will be updated tomorrow. Stay tuned to this space.
