As we all know actor Vishal has been sincerely involved in anti piracy activities even before being elected as the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam. After getting hold of the key position in the Sangam he has been coordinating strong efforts to check piracy through the Sangam on a large scale.

Special teams have been formed to monitor the screening of pirated version of new Tamil films in local cable TV channels or DVDs in various places of Tamil Nadu. One such team has apparently detected that a local channel in Kumbakonam has been screening Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Manithan'. The team members have informed the General Secretary immediately.

Vishal has promptly taken the matter to the Ms.Jayalakshmi IPS, the person in charge of the Police squad to check and eradicate the screening of Pirated videos. A team of police personnel immediately swung into action and have arrested the owner and a few employees of the cable channel in Kumbakonam.
