After the advent of digital cinema, most of the theaters in Tamil Nadu have embraced the technology and are associated with companies like Qube, PXD and UFO. Producers are charged a fee of 22500/- (Rupees Twenty two thousand five hundred only) per film that is released by these companies.

Vishal, after becoming the President of the Producers Council is taking many steps to protect his members and now he has decided to take on the digital service providers. According to him a new player has entered the field and is offering services at rupees five thousand for a big budget film and two thousand five hundred for a small budget one. This is a a huge difference of almost ninety percent and the secretary of the council Gnanavelraja has released a voice message on Whatsapp to all the members seeking their support to bring about this welcome change for small producers especially.
