Vishal started his film career as an assistant director of Arjun and later made a debut as hero in 'Chellame'. It was N. Linguswamy's 'Sandakozhi' released in 2005 that proved to be a major turning point in his career propelling him into the big league of Tamil cinema heroes.  He has now grown in stature as the Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam and the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council.

After thirteen years Vishal is acting in 'Sandakozhi 2' directed by Linguswamy again and costarring Keerthy Suresh and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.  The film is also the 25th in the action hero's career and a grand celebration has been planned on a private property in the ECR on Monday the 24th of September.  Vishal's close friends and fellow heroes Jayam Ravi, Jiiva, Arya, Vishnu Vishal, Santhanam along with Varu Sarath, Keerthy Suresh, Trisha and other stars are expected to be present to share their delight.
