Young actor Pradeesh Raj made an impact with tamil audience with his performance as one of the innocent victims of Police custodial torture in the recent released Vetrimaran directed flick 'Visaranai'.

Strangely the actor has been taken under police custody in real life just a couple of days after the release of the film.

Pradeesh was waiting near a shop in Kotturpuram, Chennai for his friends as they had planned to catch 'Visaranai' running in a nearby theater. The place was notorious for chain snatching crimes. So the police officers who were doing rounds in that area took Pradeesh to the nearby Abhiramapuram police station for questioning as they were not sure about his identity.

The police officers let him off within few minutes after confirming that he is not guilty. The fun part is that the police personnel did not know that he is an actor and learnt that only after he himself said that he has acted in 'Visaranai'.

Pradeesh has said that unlike in the film, the police officers treated him with respect and dignity .
