Virata Parvam director spills beans about the film, actors, and characters

Virata Parvam has been in the news since the day it was announced. Starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi as lead roles, the film is being directed by Venu Udugula of Needi Naadi Oke Katha fame. The film is still under production and around 10 percent of the shoot is pending, says director Venu.

The film has Priyamani playing Bharatakka, a naxalite, Nandita Das, Zareena Wahib and Eashwari Rao in key roles. Talking about the roles and so many big stars being part of this film, the director said, “This film has a different title. You won’t hear the title anywhere, but will feel it. There are five women in this film who play the key roles. More than calling them as key characters, I must say that there are five strong women in this film and their roles are stronger. So there is a lot for them to portray and say.”

Venu has revealed that all the actors in the film flaunt a no makeup look. It is great that all of them have said yes to a de-glam look. Talking about what made him choose Sai Pallavi, he said that he approached her during her first film, but she was busy being part of it. “I loved her performance in Premam. Felt that the role in Virata Parvam, only she could play it. So narrated it to her, she liked and is an asset to the film I can say. All the artists have done well,” he added.
