Recently, Indian skipper Virat Kohli made headlines by taking paternity leave to be with his wife Anushka Sharma for the birth of their first child. "Mr Virat Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plans to return to India after the first Test in Adelaide. The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain.” the BCCI press release read.

This decision by Virat has polarized the fans. Number of fans are appreciating him for prioritising his family over profession at a very important moment of their lives while others are criticising him for abandoning the national duty. He is being compared to former Skipper MS Dhoni who missed the birth of her daughter Ziva during the 2015 World Cup campaign.

Although it is an wholesome gesture by Virat, the Indian side will definately be a bit weaker in his absence.
