Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who had a great series against Australia, winning the test series and the ODI series 2-1, has more reasons to smile, as he has made a clean sweep in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Test and ODI awards, including being named as the captain of both the test and ODI teams selected by ICC.
Virat Kohli was also announced as the winner of Sir Garfield Sobers ICC Men's cricketer of the year award for both ODIs and Tests, as he had scored 1202 runs with an average of 133.55 and the same year he had also become the fastest to reach the milestone of 10000 runs, besides also scoring 1322 runs in tests with an average of 55.08.
This is the second consecutive time the Indian skipper has won the ICC ODI player of the year award and the first time he has won it for tests. The other Indians in the ICC test team are Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah, and in ODI team, Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav featured alongside Kohli. Kohli was also awarded ICC Test and ODI captain of the year.
