Having records broken and feats achieved seems to be just another part of the job description for the cricketing sensation Virat Kohli. Now widely referred to as the ‘run-machine’, Kohli is all set to add yet another feather to his cap.
Virat Kohli is just 17 runs short of becoming the first Indian and third overall to score 2000 runs in T20 International. India faces South Africa in the third T20 at Newlands,Cape Town and guess what, Kohli might achieve this landmark, making history this day.
The terrific batsman has scored 1983 runs as of now in 57 T20 international matches out of which he has a staggering 18 half-centuries with a batting average of 50.85 runs. Kohli will be the third to get this achievement with New Zealand’s Martin Gutpill and Brendon McCullum owning the top two spots respectively.
