South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada recently called Indian captain Virat Kohli “immature” on being asked about their face-off during an IPL 2019 match between the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers.
In response to the criticism, Virat Kohli said, “If there is anything for me and Rabada to discuss, we can do that man to man. I don’t need a press conference to answer anything on what he said.” Talking about an altercation between the two players during a match between the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers, Rabada described Kohli as someone “very immature” despite being a phenomenal cricketer as he gets angry in the field way too often, but is incapable of taking abuse himself. “I was just thinking about the game plan, really, but Virat, he hit me for a boundary and then he had a word. And then when you give it back to him, he gets angry. I don’t get the guy. Maybe he does it because it gets him going, but that comes across as very immature for me. He is a phenomenal player but he can’t take the abuse,” Rabada said.
Virat Kohli and Kagiso Rabada will lock horns yet again when the Indian team takes on South Africa in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 later today at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.
