National Geographic, the TV channel, is launching a series titled 'Mega Icons'. This programme will tell the success stories of India's big achievers episode after episode. Iconic cricketer Virat Kohli and actor-politician Kamal Haasan are the first set of Mega Icons chosen.

To be aired from September this year, the series will feature intimate interviews of the icons and their families. It won't be limited to these, as scientific analyses by experts, too, will be a part of the series.

"What is really important about the show, is the unique lens we have used to analyze the lives of these icons - using science to decipher if such inspirational personalities are born or made great. This unique format is what we believe will appeal to the National Geographic's loyal viewer. A discerning viewer, who is fueled by curiosity, and wants to deepen his understanding about the science and reason behind everything," the channel has said in a statement.
