Virat Kohli is known for his brilliant batting that has won him the Number 1 Test and ODI batsman ICC ranking. Looks like the Indian captain can bowl too. In a recent interview, Kohli revealed that his teammates do not have faith in his bowling but that he has skill with the ball too. He reports: “It was the during the ODI series in Sri Lanka (in 2017) where we had almost won everything, I asked MS (Dhoni) if I could bowl. Just when I was getting ready to roll my arm over, Bumrah (Jasprit) shouted from the boundary and said ‘no joking around, it is an international game’. No one in the team believes in my bowling but I do. After that, I had back issues and then never bowled (in the middle).”

The right arm medium pacer also revealed the identity of his bowling guru. He said: “I used to follow James Anderson’s action when I was at the academy (in Delhi). Later, when I got to play alongside him, I told him about that story. We both had a good laugh over it.” As of now, the batsman has 12 wickets totally in all formats of the game. While fans can never get bored of watching him bat, they sure would love to see him try his hand with the ball.
