Virat Kohli slams 40th One Day International century

Virat Kohli slammed his 40th ODI ton in the second match against Australia and has kept his reputation as Mr.Consistent intact. He is now second on the all time lists after Sachin Tendulkar (49 centuries). The next international player on the list is Hashim Amla (27centuries) at number 5 and Rohit Sharma the only other Indian with 22 tons at number 9.

Put in to bat by Australian captain Aaron Finch it has been a struggle for the batsmen at the other end barring all rounder Vijay Shankar who made 46 before being run out. King Kohli was out for 116 caught by Stoinis at deep cover off Pat Cummins the pick of the Aussie bowlers. 251 is the target for the visiting team on a slow difficult tract to bat on and could well give India a 2-0 lead in the five match series.
