Viral video helps comedian Shraddha grab Modi's attention

Earlier on Monday, happening Sandalwood stars Yash and Rishab Shetty got to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his invite. We know why Yash and Shetty are so popular India-wide. The 'KGF' franchise and 'Kantara', respectively, have made them pan-India stars. But they were joined by comedian Shraddha Jain at PM's meet-and-greet session.
Now, Shraddha is not a film star. She is a Bengaluru-based stand-up comic and, more so, a popular YouTuber. A former Radio Jockey, Shraddha's videos on Aiyyo Shraddha are widely popular.
A recent video of hers, titled 'Laid off', was about techies and others getting fired by companies in thousands and the reaction of one such newly-unemployed techie. Just on her YouTube channel, the video has locked 1.9 million views. More people must have watched it on social media, especially Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn.
It's safe to assume that it is the humongous reach of this video that made the PM's team take notice of her. Shraddha's videos have been entirely apolitical. Some commentators believe that the Karnataka unit of the BJP wants to cultivate her political neutrality by making her do a soft pitch for Modi ahead of the elections. The BJP would be more than interested to make her popular, considering she is not anti-BJP like other comedians (read Kunal Kamra et al).
It has to be seen how Shraddha's (mild) political turn, if and when it happens, will be viewed by her anti-BJP followers.
Namashkar, yes, I met the Honorable Prime Minister of our Country. His first word to me was ‘Aiyyo!’.
