Viral pics: MRO from Telangana takes Rs 1 Cr bribe

Anti-corruption raids occupy much media attention in India. Even so, the pics and visuals of an MRO from Telangana's Keesara have amused everyone. The crest-fallen tehsildar has been caught red-handed accepting a humongous bribe of nearly Rs 1 Cr. After catching him, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials spread out the currency, comprising of bundles of Rs 500, and had the media film it.
The MRO, Erva Balaraju Nagaraju, had reportedly demanded Rs 2 Cr from a real estate dealer in order to settle a land dispute. Since it was a 28-acre land parcel in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, the involved parties were ready to pay a huge bribe.
An NDTV report says that Rs 8 lakh cash was found in the MRO's car later. Abut Rs 28 lakh was found at his residence, besides half kg gold, etc.
