Years after falling in love with him on the sets of a Tamil film, Nayanthara may have got engaged to Kollywood director Vignesh Shivan. If a viral pic is anything to go by, the duo has taken their relationship to the next level.

Hours ago, on Thursday, the filmmaker shared a pic on Instagram. In the now-viral pic, the 'Sye Raa' actress is seen wearing a ring. It's believed to be their engagement ring. The pic came with an accompanying Tamil-language message, which is borrowed from a popular song.

Last year, during the peak of the pandemic, sections of media went into overdrive spreading the rumour that the duo would be getting engaged in Kerala. The rumour turned out to be false. It has to be seen whether Shivan and Nayanthara release a statement on the latest reports doing the rounds.

The lovebirds are currently working on 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal' (Tamil), which co-stars Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni as well.
