'Viraata Parvam' stars Rana Daggubati as a Maoist. As Comrade Ravanna, he has his 'Laal Salaam' moments in the forest and 'Dear Comrade' moments on campus. Director Venu Udugula, going by the First Glimpse of the film released today, has made the film as an intense drama where the 'Baahubali' actor will be an angry young man.
Sai Pallavi plays another Naxalite in this film inspired by real events in the 1990s. We are told that 'Revolution is an act of love' and one wonders if 'love' in the caption is cryptic. Nivetha Pethuraj and Priyamani, too, seem to have author-backed roles.
Cinematographer Divakar Mani's night-effect shots are impressive in the teaser. Laxman Aelay is the production designer, while Nagendra is the art director.
With music by Suresh Bobbili, the film is going to release soon. Produced by D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri of Suresh Productions and Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, the film also features Nandita Das.
