'Delhi Belly' is a solid hit and Vir Das has had enough of accusations and controversies surrounding his act, dialogues and especially 'DK Bose'. He wants audience to just enjoy the film and have fun rather than getting too worked up about the entire affair. He also has the final word on the 'issue' as he states that with the kind of setting and content that 'Delhi Belly' has, the film was always meant to be more street-smart instead of being a Shakespearean play.

"The film is about chemistry between three boys - Imran (Khan), Kunal (Roy Kapur) and myself so it is crucial to bring it in just the right way that fits in the genre," reasons Vir, "In any case this is not the kind of movie where you are into Shakespeare. You are more into everyday situation and when something like that forms the basic pretext of the film, things like 'gaalis', smoking, cool one liners and other insane fun can well be expected to play an integral role."

Given the manner in which this Imran Khan starrer has been lapped up by it's target audience and has in turn become one of the top successes of the year, one can hardly argue with Vir here.
