Popular comedian Vir Das has bagged a new international project and he's going to collaborate with big names like Andy Samberg and Sam Laybourne on it. The show titled 'Country Eastern' will be a comedy about a rich guy from India who shifts to USA and aspires to become a country singer. Vir is going to co-produce, co-write and act in this project.

Talking about it, he told a news outlet, "It’s an exciting brand new project that is in the works and I’m happy to announce that the series is now being developed. The writing of the series is currently on. I’m excited to be collaborating with such immensely talented names, each of whom have an envious body of work. It’s a unique comedy and I’m looking forward to filming the series soon."

Andy Samberg, who is known for playing Detective Jake Peralta in the show 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' is also going to co-produce the show along with Vir Das. Apart from this one, Vir also stars in the director Jude Apatow's film 'The Bubble' which is awaiting release.
