Our country's entertainment industry has some fine gems that are making the country proud abroad. After Priyanka Chopra's latest hit pilot 'Quantico', we have Vir Das who is going to set the world standards for Indian Stand up Comedy scene.
Vir Das is all set to start his first U.S. comedy tour in November. As a part of the tour he will perform at Carolines on Broadway.
Interestingly, Vir is going to be the first ever Indian to perform at the Carolines on Broadway in New York, one of the most popular comedy clubs in the world. With this he will be joining the league of world renowned comedians who have performed there right from Russell Peters, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Dane Cook, Sarah Silverman, David Spade etc. Not only Vir will be performing there but he has got an entire weekend named after him called Vir Das` Weekend which is yet another first for an Indian comedian. As a part of his tour Vir will be performing at Hollywood Improv in LA and San Francisco.
Confirming the new Vir Das said, "I'm super nervous about hitting a stage that everyone I idolise in comedy has headlined at some point. A comedian from India has never done a headlining weekend at Caroline's which is NYC's top club. It feels kinda cool to have your name in lights above Broadway."
After being the most followed and influential comedian in India, Vir seems to be now headed his way to woo audiences across the globe.
