Vir Das will soon be seen in a film called '31st October' which is a thriller based on Indira Gandhi assassination. For the role the actor has to look like very mature so for the same he has put on about 8 kgs and the other highlight is that he also grew a beard and was with it for months for his role. He also sports a turban. So basically he has a very different look in the film which has never been seen before.
Vir Das says," Devender is a simple man from Tilak Nagar. A DESU engineer and a good heated soul. It took a lot of work to get the look and role right. I put on weight to look like a healthy Delhi Punjabi, grew a beard for many months and took Punjabi diction classes for months. This isn't the kind of film you would normally see me in, the response at festivals across the world has been amazing."
