Most people would agree that Vir Das is a very underutilized comic in the film industry. He has been part of several movies but most of them do not make the proper use of his skills. He was a supporting character in the cult classic film 'Delhi Belly'. The film was one of its kind comedy film at the time of its release and thus enjoys a cult fanbase now. As the film completed ten years of its theatrical release, Vir Das recalled his experience of working on it.
He took to Instagram and wrote, "It was like my fifth audition for this crazy movie over two years. The first time the three of us read together, it just felt right, three idiotic kids basically. Eventually we joined a set with a special feeling, that we were making madness that we may never get to again.
"Top to bottom, cast to crew, everyone on this movie was certifiably insane. Awesome, amazing, crazy people. #10yearsOfDelhiBelly,"
The film also starred Kunaal Roy Kapoor and was headlined by Imraan Khan. Imraan's uncle Aamir Khan was a producer on the film and wanted to play the role which was ultimately given to Kunaal Roy Kapoor.
