Parvathy, the 29-year-old Malayalam-Tamil actress, says that violence can't be normalized as cool in films.
"Cinema can reflect all aspects of the society and all kinds of people. The good, the bad and the ugly. But no! It cannot glorify injustice and violence as "cool" & "mass" entertainment. I rest my case. This was a good day indeed! Thank you for sharing (and hurling) your thoughts!" she says.
There is a growing debate around the depiction and seeming endorsement of violence, stalking, etc in our films.
Most filmmakers, on their part, justify it saying that it's just a film. They rationalize it saying that films also deliver positive messages.
