Vinayan's new effort

Vinayan's science fiction thriller Athishayan will grace the theatres on Onam day.

The hero of the film is a six-year-old orphan boy being played by Devadas, son of actor Ramu.

Kavya Madhavan plays a TV reporter in the movie.

Jackie Shroff, making his debut in Malayalam films, dons the role of the scientist.

According to Vinayan, the boy in the film is known as Athishayan meaning a amazing person. Jayasurya plays a cameo in the movie. The story and screenplay is by Vinayan, while the dialogues are by Sunil K Anand. Lyrics by Vayalar Saratchandra Varma and Prabha Varma are set to music by Alphons.
