Director Vinayan has voiced his opinion about Mohanlal's latest blog in which he talks about nationalism and the current issues that a leading university has unleashed. Vinayan has opined that the country is going into a dangerous situation where freedom of expression and nationalism is being mixed up unabashedly.

Vinayan has expressed dissent and doubt about some of the things that Mohanlal has mentioned in his blog. He says that bravehearts who guard our nation would be heartbroken if they hear of the kind of atrocities being done in the name of nationalism. He wonders how voices of dissent ends up behind bars, referring to the situation at JNU.
