The general secretary of MACTA, director Vinayan seems to be in the receiving end of the new developments that will end up in a big split of the organization. All the members who walked out of MACTA today, seems to have raised the need to control autocracy of the secretary. The new problems all started up in the meeting that was called to discuss the Dileep-Thulasidas, with the senior director Siddhique making a walk out, following a illustrious dialogue exchange with the secretary, Vinayan.
In the meeting, Siddhique is known to have explained to Vinayan that he will continue with his works on the new film with Dileep titled 'Body Guard' which is all set to start its shoot on chingam one.
Vinayan who opposed it, and stuck to his stand to ban Dileep from the industry seems to have pumped up, to voice something unwanted in his rage. Siddhique, normally a very soft person to deal with, later made it clear that Vinayan has made some personal bad comments in the meeting, humiliating the entire directors of the industry. Ace scriptwriter - Director Renjith was the first to tender a resignation for traducing Siddhique. The act became a rage among the other members of the director union who all followed suit within hours.
Up to 12 in the noon, around 26 directors have officially announced their resignation from MACTA. Nine out of 19 associated unions of MACTA area also showing signs of dissent with more members coming out to revolt against the secretary and his alleged despotism in MACTA.
Vinayan on the other hand, still maintains that there is nothing worth mentioning happening in MACTA. He further adds that strict disciplinary measures will be taken against the members who are trying to dissuade and weaken MACTA.
News are in the rounds that the dissident fraction group headed by Siddhique and Renjith will meet together today or tomorrow to discus on the issues and announce another filmi organization.
