Vimala Raman seems to be the luckiest of the girls in the south cinema of today.

Tamil film industry didn't think much about her when she made a debut in Balachander’s 'Poi'. But in Malayalam she is discovered as a leading-heroine potential and is continuously offered roles opposite the biggies.

Her roles and looks in the two films that were released recently, Time and Pranayakalam were stunningly good, and after a couple of years Padmapriya is really having a worthy rival and challenge in her as she is now continuously called in against Mallu superstars.

She has just completed her role as Jayaram's heroine in Sooriyan and the big offer as she was offered the heroine role in Mammootty's Nasraani. This is talked as the reason for the walkout of Kavya who was supposed to do the role of other heroine in the film.

And by August she will pair up with Mohanlal in his new film College Kumaran!

With that, she will become the heroine of all the leading heroes in Malayalam.
