Vimala Raman as radio jockey

The recent arrival of FM stations and their increasing popularity has given rise to number of characters related to the job in Indian cinema. The recent super hits like Salaam Namasthey and Lage Reho Munnabhai has celebrated the possibilities of FM stations.

And now also in Malluwood, the phenomenon is gaining attention. In the new film Sooryan which is a musical entertainer, Vimala Raman appears as Maya - who is working as a Radio jockey, who presents a programme titled Gaanalayam in an FM station. It is amidst such a programme that she gain acquaintance with the hero, Soorya Narayanan, played by Jayaram.

Vimala has become a busy star in Malayalam within no time and has five more films to her credit, even before her first release.

The actress who came to cinema with K.Balachander's Tamil film was then signed up in Malayalam for the Suresh Gopi starrer Time directed by Shaji Kailas. But even before she has completed the first schedule she was approached for the film Pranayakam with another debutant in the lead.

She is also finalized for the new project directed by Joshy in the scripts of Renjith. She has been already selected as the heroine of the other superstar of Malluwood Mohanlal, in the new film Alibhai directed again by Shaji Kailas. She replaced Gopika, who was earlier announced as the heroine of the film.

With a lot of sunny days ahead, everyone is in praise for the actress and her sheer luck factor is working in all splendors fetching her newer films.
