Vimal: Vim and vigour

Vimal is getting ready for an acid test with less than 24 hours left for the release of ÂKalavaniÂ. This second film of the ÂPasanga actor is expected to decide his future in Kollywood, a place known for honouring young talents.
ÂI am excited. At the same time, I am confident about the filmÂs success, as director Sargunam has shaped up the movie well. ÂKalavani is a nice story which has all the elements to attract all sections of the audience, he says.
On the movieÂs story, Vimal says, ÂThe film centers on a crook and a girl falling in love with him. The movie is set in the backdrop of Thanjavur district. I underwent rigorous training to speak Thanjavur dialect well.Â
The actor, whose next is ÂThoonga NagaramÂ, produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri, says he would like to do roles blended with heroism and comedy. ÂBecause, these are the two things that go down well with the masses, he points out.
