A fifteen-year-old girl studying in a government-aided school in Vilupuram did not return to the hostel late in the evening and when they searched for her she was found on the terrace near an overhead tank with her dress torn.

The girl had then recounted the shocking incident that when she went to fetch water after the school was over Albert (32) an office staff at the school followed her up and forcefully had sex with her during which she fainted. The man had then left her there and fled the spot. After a complaint from the school teachers the cops have arrested Albert and booked him under IPC 448 (punishment for house trespass) and Section 4 (punishment for penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, 2012.
