The audio of Vijay starrer 'Villu' was launched amidst fanfare in Chennai on Sunday 14th. The much-awaited movie starring Vijay, Nayanthara and Vadivelu, is directed by Prabhudeva and produced by Ayngaran International.
Speaking at the audio launch, Devi Sri Prasad, said, "It was my desire to work with Vijay. We earlier teamed up for Sachien, which was a musical hit. It's also a delight working with Prabhu Deva. We earlier did for the Telugu movie 'Nuvvastanante Nenodantana'.
Devi Sri Prasad, the 'numero uno' music director in Kollywood adds that scoring music for a movie featuring the best dancing hero, Vijay and a dance master as the director, Prabhu Deva is a tough task. We tried to be different from the regular stuff and tried innovations in the instrumentation. The Villu album has eight numbers and the highlight is a couple of songs were sung by Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala.
Also the music composer thanks Mumbai pop singer Baba Sehgal, who has voiced for a number. When Mumbai was attacked on 26th November, we thought Baba Sehgal would not turn up for the recording. A committed professional, he managed to make it to Chennai in spite of delay and gave us enough co-operation to complete the song'.
On the host of remixes in Kollywood, he said, "I am against the remixing trend. Although, I enjoy listening to remix tunes, I am personally against them. I never use them in my composition. If the need arises, I remix my own tunes from my earlier films'.
