Villagers gather to mourn CRPF martyrs in States

Mourning has marked the bringing of the mortal remains of the martyrs of Pulwama to their native vilages in different States. In Rajasthan, the mortal remains of CRPF constable Rohitash Lamba was brought to his native place in Shahpura, Jaipur district as hundreds of villagers gathered at a place out of respect.

In Madhya Pradesh, the mortal remains of the CRPF constable Ashwani Kachhi were brought to his native village in Jabalpur as villagers waved the Tricolour.

Meanwhile, there protests against the dastardly attack in parts of the country. In Maharashtra, a demonstration was staged by protestors on the railway tracks at Nallasopara railway station. Train movement affected at Nallasopara and beyond.

States are announcing compensation to the martyrs' families. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has announced government jobs to one family member each of the two CRPF personnel from the state who lost their lives in the attack, reports a news agency. Maharashtra has given Rs 50 lakh to each family.
