It's known that Rajinikanth has been shooting for Karthik Subbaraj's film in some select, exotic locations in a few aesthetic locations in some North Indian states like Uttarakhand. Recently, the 'Kaala' star stayed at a resort in Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal. The Superstar happened to stay in Villa No. 3 for about 10 days.

Out of sheer joy and in memory of the legendary actor's stay over there, the owners of the villa have decided to call it The Rajinikanth Villa from now!

As for the film, it's being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Vijay Sethupathy is playing Rajini's antagonist. There is this buzz that it could hit the screens before '2.0'.

'Kaala', in the meantime, has been declared a monumental disaster in the Telugu States, where it has made do with a share of Rs. 7 crores, incurring losses to the tune of 75 percent. Kudos to Pa. Ranjith!
