Thalapathy Vijay is known for his philanthropic works but always manages to keep them under the wraps. While he continues to help his fans and the needy his cousin Vikranth has opened up about the great help which Thalapathy did to his family.

Vikanth hails from a family of producers and filmmakers but there were times when his family had to face some financial crises. Vijay has helped his family generously and Vikranth opened up about this in the survivor show for the first time.

He said, "Nobody knows this incident other than our family members, 1991 to 1995 was very tough for my family. We had to sell all our property to compensate for the loss of the films we produced. We faced severe financial crisis and did not have money to pay the rent. Vijay anna was very generous during that time. He bought us a new home and after that our lives changed".

"I haven't thanked him for this, though he is my brother it was so generous of him to help us during tough times. I take this moment to thank him for the help he has rendered us. I will never forget this in my life," he added. Vikranth who is celebrating his birthday today is currently participating in the Indian version of the American show Survivor hosted by actor Arjun.
