Actor Vikranth was seen playing the lead role this year in two movies, the Ramprakash Rayappa directorial Suttu Pidikka Utharavu that also starred Suseenthiran and Mysskin, and Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2 which was directed by Selvasekaran.

Now his next release of the year has locked its release date. Vikranth was supposed to have a release last week, with Bakrid. Directed by Jagadeesh Subbu who had earlier directed the Kathir starrer Sigai, this movie was earlier announced as an August 9 release.

However, the movie has now been postponed and has been announced officially to be releasing on August 23. Bakrid also stars Vasundhara Kashyap and deals with the bonding between a man and a camel. The movie is released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant movies.
