Vikram's Pithamagan directed by Bala was a big hit in Tamilnadu. When it has crossed the border and gone to Andhra as Sivaputrudu in Telugu, the result has been the same.
Sivaputrudu, the Telugu dubbed version of Pitamagan, has made a tremendous opening in all centres of Andhra Pradesh.
The film, which also has Surya, actresses Laila and Sangeetha, who is popular in Tollywood, has been
running to full houses. Vikram had earlier acted in few direct Telugu movies in his career, which
The film that was initially screened in 21 centres is now being shown in 37 centres, by the second week.
Kiran of Lakshmi Ganapathy films purchased Sivaputrudus dubbing rights for a sum of just Rs 5
lakh. Now the pundits say that the film in its long run will make anything upwards of Rs 2 Crore!
Fans and theatre owners say 'Vikram is terrific. Especially his acting and the animal grunts he makes
have the crowd clapping'.

Meanwhile Telugu distributors are desperately trying to find Vikram movies for dubbing but unfortunately none are available as all his films released in Tamil in the last two years have been remade into Telugu.
