Producer Sashikanth of 'Y Not Studios' banner was getting ready for the release of his much expected film 'Vikram Vedha' which was scheduled to hit the screens this Friday(July 7,2017). The release of the much anticipated film directed by Pushkar-Gayathri with Vijay Sethupathi, Madhavan, Shraddha Srinath, Varalakshmi and Kathir in lead roles has now been postponed due to the indefinite strike of theaters across the state against the levy of 30% entertainment tax on Tamil films apart from the GST fixed by the Union Government.
Now Sashi has released a statement in which he has made scathing remarks against the state Government and also appealed to the stars of Kollywood to voice out their opinion , loud and clear.
