After taking a tremendous opening in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu, 'Vikram Vedha' has created a equally good record in its second weekend as well. The film directed by Pushkar-Gayathri has set the cash registers ringing in TN Box office with a whopping Rs.23 crores from theatricals across the state in just ten days since its worldwide release.
This includes Rs.4.72 crores from Chennai, 5.2 crores from Coimbatore, 7.6 crores from Chengalpet and 95 lakhs from Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari.
Meanwhile 'Meesaya Murukku' which released on the same day as 'Vikram Vedha' has also turned out to be a all-class hit in Tamil Nadu. The film, directed by Hip Hop Tamizha has collected Rs.10.5 crores from theatricals across the state.
The share of Chennai city in this total collection is Rs.1.49 crores whereas theatricals in Coimbatore, Chengalpet and Tirunelveli & Kanyakumari have fetched 1.7 crores, 2.5 crores and 72 lakhs respectively.
The Box Office trade sources claim that both 'Vikram Vedha' and 'Meesaya Murukku' have turned out as Blockbusters in Tamil Nadu.
