Popular Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan are all set to go toe to toe against each other in their soon to be released crime thriller 'Vikram Vedha'. In this remake of a Tamil blockbuster of same name, Hrithik and Saif will portray roles which were originally played by Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan respectively.

In a recent media interaction, director duo Pushkar and Gayatri, who helmed the original as well as the remake, stated that Hrithik and Saif were the top choices for their respective characters since this beginning.

They told Mid-Day, "At the outset, the producers and we were looking for the best possible actors for the roles. Naturally, Hrithik and Saif were the top choices. Both are generous actors and have a deep understanding of the craft. It was always about making the scene work. As actors, they were so involved in the script that we were all perfectly in sync."

The teaser of 'Vikram Vedha' was released few days back and it managed to intrigue the audience. The film itself is set to release theatrically on 30th of September.
